This was another brilliant written book by James Patterson。 We can see the twists, turns and humour coming through。Imagine you were rich and pregnantImagine knowing you were being followed but could not isolate the faceEnter a best friend worried her friends missingThere in lies the plot and twists。

I really tried to read this I could not get in to it。 After so many pages I would walk away and think I would read a few more hoping it would get better, for me it did not。

Francesca

The book was too long。 Could have skipped 100 pages of story。 Too much descriptive words not needed。 Another James Patterson story I did not like。 Could not empathize with main character Emily。

Melissa

Confusing and kind of annoying with unlikable characters。

Judy

I have read nearly all of James Pattersons books, but this is my least favorite!

455 pretty ridiculous pages。 Definitely one of the weakest JP books I’ve read。

This was a very different story for Patterson so I’m sure DiLallo wrote most if not all of it。 I found the tale interesting and entertaining and kept me on edge but even with the twist at the end, I found the ending to be extremely weak and felt like they needed to just wrap it up to meet a deadline but of course free from the local public library

Lately, JP's book area hit and miss for me。 This book was a huge miss。 I didn't like any of the characters in the book。 The ending was a little bit of a twist but some parts of it were hard for me to believe! predictable A big disappointment。 Story line predictable Too basic。 Very little mystery or intrigue, It is one of very few Janes Patterson books I have not not have neither not enjoyed nor feltworth the money。

This did not feel like a James Patterson book。 While it was suspenseful and had a few very good twists, it just felt soooo long and usually a James Patterson book moves at a fast clip and keeps you looking forward to the next chapter。 I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book。

Best book ever! I could not put this book down。 The friendship that Emily and Betsy had was awesome。Yes, Emily had her wild moments but Betsy was the sensible, stable one。 I was shocked with the end of the book to find out that Ted and detective Joel were working together。

There were 100 chapters or 12 hours in the audio book。 The low rating is due to the excruciatingly slow progress of the plot。 I especially liked the character of friend Betsy。 Rich Emily was wasting her life partying on drugs & alcohol until she learned she was pregnant。 Orphan as a young woman she was making poor choices。 The plot ended well and I thoroughly enjoyed the last 10 chapters。 Just took to damn long to get there。 As a whole I enjoy reading James Patterson books。 I've read a couple of There were 100 chapters or 12 hours in the audio book。 The low rating is due to the excruciatingly slow progress of the plot。 I especially liked the character of friend Betsy。 Rich Emily was wasting her life partying on drugs & alcohol until she learned she was pregnant。 Orphan as a young woman she was making poor choices。 The plot ended well and I thoroughly enjoyed the last 10 chapters。 Just took to damn long to get there。 As a whole I enjoy reading James Patterson books。 I've read a couple of others where J。P。 coauthored with Richard DiLallo。 Underwhelmed。 Will avoid these in the future。 。。。more

I strongly disliked the reasoning for all the events in this book and hated that the main character continued to drink while pregnant。 I realize that mirrors reality for some pregnant women, but it made it very difficult to connect with the character。 In fact, it was frustrating and caused me much angst。 Definitely not one of the better products churned out by the JP factory。

Not quite what I expectedLet me start by saying I am a huge James Patterson fan, that being said I must say this didn’t seem like one of his regular books。 I was a little confused with all the red herrings thrown in but the end was very abrupt。 I am used to a little more build up。

I was intrigued by this book when I read the synopsis, but when I actually started reading it I just got more and more frustrated and annoyed at the main character。 Now I know a lot of that is to do with my family history but even so in my opinion she (the main female character) just needed a big a slap upside the head。 I know violence is new the answer but I would have felt better。That being said I was quite impressed with the last few chapters。

Kathy

I cringled every time Emily had a drink, I was in shock。 I was surprised how invested nurse Betty was。 And the ending。。。。。

Do not read this if you are pregnant…emphasis on pregnancy and peeing really is overdone。 It was a decent mystery with an excellent twist at the end, but too drawn out and long。 Why did two men decide to try to get into the heads of pregnant women? Guess that’s why all the cliches were overdone, over and over。 Very disappointing。

I don't get it !!!! is No-one pre-reading these novels???? I can not believe that Mr。 Patterson, himself, is actually agreeing to allow his name to be dragged through the past several years with this drudgery。 Seriously, there were years that I waited for each and every novel from this man's typewriter。 NO MORE the past 10+ novels have been junk , a waste of good money, and what a blow to his legacy。 WAKE UP !!!!!I did make it 41%, but, only because it's all I had at the time。 I should have quit I don't get it !!!! is No-one pre-reading these novels???? I am a huge Patter fan, but this book wasn’t one I enjoyed。 200 pages of this book could’ve been cut out! Over all I liked the characters and the plot。

I received this book from Grand Central Publishing for an honest review。 Emily is a broken person。 She works at a marketing firm and is a functional alcoholic。 At the hospital, she learns that she is pregnant。 Her nurse, Betsey, shares that she is in the early stages of pregnancy too。 Emily doesn't know what to do。 Betsey steps in to help her。 She guides Emily to her own doctor for prenatal care。 Betsey sees the damaged person that Emily is and wants to help her。 Betsey is the type of friend we I received this book from Grand Central Publishing for an honest review。 Emily is a broken person。 She works at a marketing firm and is a functional alcoholic。 At the hospital, she learns that she is pregnant。 Her nurse, Betsey, shares that she is in the early stages of pregnancy too。 Emily doesn't know what to do。 Betsey steps in to help her。 She guides Emily to her own doctor for prenatal care。 Betsey sees the damaged person that Emily is and wants to help her。 Betsey is the type of friend we all need。 Compassionate, caring, and willing to talk tough when necessary。 Patterson and DiLallo take us on a journey through friendship, pregnancy, perseverance, and fear。 Emily isn't sure if she's imagining it but she thinks she's being followed。 Who would follow her? Why? Women have disappeared recently, will Emily be the next victim? This story is gripping and moves quickly toward a surprising conclusion。 Yes, it is fine to stay up all night to finish this book。 。。。more
